The Australian Psychological Association recommended rate for Psychology in 2024-2025 is $ 311 for a 50-minute psychology session with an initial assessment fee of $ 451 for an 80-minute session while the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) recommends a fee of $289 per hour for individual and family sessions. At Real Path Health and Wellbeing, we aim to make therapy and support services as accessible as possible by as we charge less than the recommended APA and AASW rates.

Our initial consultations are 80 minutes in length, allowing time for a thorough assessment and to determine the most suitable course of therapy for your individual needs.
Initial Session Fees
A subsequent consultation is 50 minutes long. During these appointments, you will be guided and engaged through evidence-based therapeutic approaches designed to help you achieve your mental health and life goals.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is not subsidised by Australia’s Better Access Scheme and therefore does not attract a Medicare rebate.
The cost of psychometric assessments varies depending on the type and number of assessments required, as well as the time needed for report preparation. For example, an ADHD assessment typically involves one psychometric assessment along with take-home questionnaires, whereas assessments for ASD or intellectual concerns may require two or more psychometric assessments in addition to questionnaires.
